The floppy disks called ‘memory disks’ at the beginning. The first floppy disk was 8” in diameter, it was a read-only disk which had 80 kilobytes of data. It was made of a flexible plastic material, after that, it was called as ‘floppy disk’. They were released by IBM in 1971. As people's demand and technology's fast growing, floppy disk has been obsoleted in this generation. However, the people in this generation never forget the existence of floppy disk.
